Village Roster
Caretaker obviously gets slot one on the roster. The Player Character is the Caretaker of the village, and their stats are primary.
Below that will be more simplified Villager slots that will help track the bonuses and resources you get with them, as well as any skill improvements they receive through books that you give them.
